At Campers Ireland we have a minimum 4 days hire, but please call and we will try to accommodate your needs.
All drivers must be confirmed no later than 6 weeks in advance of hire. If your booking is made within 6 weeks of hire then all driver details must be furnished at the time of booking.
Full instructions about the required supporting documentation will be emailed to you when you make a booking.
The driver documents listed in the checklist below are required 6 weeks in advance of hire or immediately if booking is made within 6 weeks of hire.
Documents can be scanned & emailed, photocopied & posted, or photographed with a smart phone / tablet & emailed. Documents must be legible.
1. Copy of Drivers Licence – front & back (for UK licences a check-code is also required for validation).
2. Copy of a recently dated Statement OR Utility Bill for confirmation of address.
3. If the address on your licence does not match your current residential address, then a second recently dated Statement OR Utility Bill is also required for confirmation of address.
All non-UK and Irish drivers must also provide:

Unfortunately, not. Our insurance only allows an additional driver for the duration of hire. E.g. If the hire is 7 days then the additional driver fee is charged at 7 days x €15 per day.
Licences from the following EU countries must be held for a minimum of 2 years: Ireland, UK, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain & Sweden.
Licences from the following EEA & Recognised Exchange countries must be held for a minimum of 5 years:
Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa RSA, South Korea RSK, Taiwan, Australia (Capital Territory, Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia).
Licences from the following countries must be held for a minimum of 8 years: USA, Canada.
If your country is not listed above then unfortunately, we cannot accept you as a driver. Please note that International Drivers Licences are not accepted.
All drivers must between the ages of 25 –70 inclusive.
European drivers must have a full licence for a minimum of 2 years. EEA Licences must be held for a minimum of 5 years. US & Canadian licences must be held for a minimum of 8 years. No novice drivers please.
Any penalty points, driving convictions or accidents must be disclosed at the time of booking. Dates and descriptions or codes for all convictions must be provided.
Campers Ireland campervans are covered for travel within the 32 counties of Ireland and Northern Ireland only. They cannot be taken across the water to the UK or Europe under any circumstance.
The parking of one car per rental will be provided by Campers Ireland. Parking is entirely at the hirer’s own risk.
1) If your booking starts in less than 40 DAYS: Full Payment for the Hire is required to confirm booking.
2) If your booking starts in more than 40 DAYS:
a) A 25% or €300 booking deposit is payable whichever is higher is payable at the time of booking to secure your chosen vehicle and dates. This can be completed by ringing 087 2336596
b) The balance payment is payable 40 DAYS in advance of hire.
3) Security deposit:
In addition to the Campervan Hire payment there is also a €2,000 security deposit required per vehicle. The security deposit is payable by debit or credit card 1 day in advance of hire or *bank transfer 1 week in advance of hire –
The security deposit is fully refunded upon safe return of the vehicle(s) to Campers Ireland. Please read our Terms & Conditions for details of the rental agreement, insurance excess, deposits and refunds.
*Please note that bank transfers can be accepted no later1 week in advance of the hire to allow the payment to clear.
We accept most major credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Debit & Electron, etc.
Payments are generally automated via our online booking system via Stripe, but it is also possible to arrange card payments over the phone, in cash or by * bank transfer.

Yes you can bring your pets up to a maximum of 2 small well behaved Pets.
A surcharge of €50 to cover additional cleaning fees. Please note the €60 pet carriage fee is payable in addition to the cleaning fee applied to each hire.

Yes, at Campers Ireland we offer 24/7 on all our breakdown cover on all our Campervans and you will be informed about restrictions and details during the pick-up.
Yes, you will have to pay all road tolls, possible fines, penalties and related charges related to your Campervan hire. We recommend planning the itinerary before you start your journey so as to minimise these potential costs.
We can deliver campers to Cavan town, Granard or another location as agreed with ourselves at the time of booking. The fees for providing this service will be agreed in advance if we have resources available to provide the service. Other options are available please contact us to discuss your needs.
